In our last blog post, we explored the origins of men’s facial hair and how it spread throughout the world. Now, we’re going to take a closer look at one of the most iconic styles of facial hair: the beard.

Beards have gone in and out of fashion throughout history. In the middle ages, beards were seen as a sign of masculinity and strength. However, during the Renaissance period, the clean-shaven look became popular, with men often using razors made of sharpened shells to shave their faces.

In the 19th century, beards made a comeback, with many men growing long, bushy beards as a sign of their rugged masculinity. However, by the early 20th century, the clean-shaven look was back in style, and beards fell out of fashion once again.
